In Jesus people's lives are transformed!

We believe that Jesus:

1. died for us and was resurrected from the dead

The resurrection of Jesus is the centre of our faith, in it we can find hope for the future, purpose and destiny. We learn from the Bible that over 500 people, on at list 12 different occasions, eye witnessed the resurrection of Jesus. Jesus’ resurrection does not affect only our future but also our present; He is alive today and, through His spirit, He wants to be a friend and a companion to each one of us as we journey through life.

2. saved us by grace

Man’s natural inclination is to run away from God, and because of this we stand guilty and condemned before Him. Salvation is essential to reunite man with God, and it is a gracious gift of God to mankind. Heaven cannot be earned with our good works or ability, it is only by trusting in Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross for us, that we can be saved and be reunited with God forever.

3. is god

Jesus is the Son of God, co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Born of a virgin, Jesus came to earth, fully God and fully man, He had a miraculous ministry and gave us an example to follow. After His death and resurrection, He ascended to Heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for His people. He will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

4. told us to love

Love is more than just an emotion, it always translates in something practical. Jesus is the perfect example of love, He didn’t just verbalise His love for us but He physically came. He dedicated time and energy for His people and finally He gave His life in sacrifice for all of us. `As I have loved you, so you must love one another’, these were the words of Jesus to His people, an open invitation to reach out with a practical love to the people around us. Experiencing real love will produce in us a sense of acceptance, significance and belonging.

5. told us to go

Faith in Jesus is not confined to just a personal relationship with Him, but we have the task to share with others about Jesus and His transforming power. If we really believe that Jesus is the truth and the answer for all human needs, then it is our responsibility to pass on this truth to the people around us. To sit and complain about what’s wrong in our towns or in other people’s lives does not solve any problem, instead we should share with others the truth of Jesus Christ who will meet them in their need. Jesus didn’t ask to His people to be spectators in this dying world, but to GO and to make the difference in our families, towns and communities.
